We are in need of skilled horse leaders for our Therapeutic Riding Program in the Suffolk, Virginia area. We are also in need of side-walkers for safety during sessions.Â
Training will be provided. Horse experience is required for horse leaders and is preferred but not required for side-walkers.
Volunteers may be tasked with a variety of things including moving horses in and out of stalls or fields, grooming, tacking, setting up activities in arena, leading horses for sessions and side-walking for safety.
Accountability is important to us; if you sign up for a time, we expect you to be there as we cannot conduct safe sessions without our volunteers.
